Setup Guide

Modes

You may choose between Single and Dual PC Setup.

Single PC (Easiest)

Image analysis on your local PC (where Lime runs) with your target app side-by-side, the Lime device controls your local PC.
We recommend at least 8GB of RAM (Dual-Channel), Intel i7/AMD Ryzen 7 or higher, NVIDIA 1050/AMD RX Vega or higher.
An NVIDIA graphics card is always prefered for optimal AI performance (CUDA Support). AMD GPUs work too.
No special setup is needed. No capture card needed.

Dual PC (Recommended)

This setup does image analysis on your second PC with a capture card and sets the proper peripheral input using the Lime Device on your target PC.

⬅️ Left PC is your target system/gaming PC (where your game runs)
➡️ Right PC is your dedicated second PC for image analysis (where Lime runs)

In between is our device that gets signals from your dedicated second PC (e.g. mouse coordinates from the AI), and sets them on your target PC.

Dual PC Checklist

  • Second PC (e.g. your old PC with NVIDIA 1050+)
  • Low latency captured card (e.g. AverMedia GC573/Elgato 4K PRO)
  • (Optional) HDMI Spoofer (e.g. Dr HDMI 4k) - You can hide your capture card with it

Example System

  • NVIDIA GTX 1080 TI
  • Intel i7-12700k
  • ASUS Z690 Strix F Gaming Motherboard
  • 32GB DDR4 RAM (Dual Channel)
  • GC573 (or Elgato 4K Pro)

Total Cost: ~300-400 USD

Please check your capture card requirements fully on its proprietary website before Lime usage.
You do not need a second monitor for the second PC, if you already own a KVM monitor or USB switch, you can just swap signals.

Capture Card Recommendation

Our recommendation: AVerMedia Live Gamer 4k (GC573)

Ultra-Low latency at 36ms, which is perfect for usage with Lime.
